Orlando-Based Cloudhop Bakeshop Opens Second Store in Daytona Beach
Courtesy Photo
Cloudhop Bakeshop, originally founded in Orlando, has opened its second location at Tanger Outlets Daytona Beach. Situated in a 1,000-square-foot space next to the Columbia store, the bakery specializes in a variety of cookies and cupcakes, with standout offerings like tres leches and blueberry amaretto cupcakes, along with stuffed cookies featuring creative flavors such as fire-roasted s’mores and cereal-inspired concoctions. This marks the brand’s first store in Volusia County, expanding its reach from its original Orlando location. Sources close to the outlet's management note that the new bakery is part of a broader initiative to introduce unique, high-quality brands to enhance the overall shopping experience at Tanger Daytona Beach. Cloudhop Bakeshop is expected to attract both locals and visitors with its innovative dessert menu.

Annual Beach Driving Pass Sales Will Pause
Volusia County will stop selling annual beach driving passes to residents and visitors at the close of business on Thursday, Sept. 26, as it prepares to transition to the new Park Volusia program under a new vendor contract. The temporary pause will allow for the transition from the current toll vendor to the new Park Volusia program, which will launch on Tuesday, Oct. 1.
Annual passes purchased before Friday, Sept. 27, will remain valid for 365 days from the purchase date. Beginning Oct. 1, Volusia County residents, property owners, and students from select local universities who register their vehicles under the Park Volusia program will qualify for beach driving without fees. The annual pass fee for non-residents will increase from $100 to $150.
From Sept. 27 through Sept. 30, anyone without an annual pass, including residents and non-residents, can park in an off-beach parking lot or pay a $20 daily fee to drive on the beach. Parking in County-owned off-beach lots will remain free for everyone until Jan. 1, 2025. After that date, non-residents must purchase an annual pass of $100 or pay a $20 daily fee. Residents who register with the Park Volusia program will receive fee waivers for both beach driving and off-beach parking in County-owned lots.
For more information about the Park Volusia program, including the required documentation for vehicle registration, visit www.parkvolusia.org.
