Ormond Beach Rentals Shines with $10K Venmo Grant Amidst Seaside Expansion

Ormond Beach Rentals Website

Ormond Beach Rentals, a beach vendor business owned by Victoria and Alex Kratochwill in Ormond Beach, has recently received a notable boost with a $10,000 grant from Venmo. Selected from over 64,000 applicants, the grant will enable the business to refresh its look and expand its offerings. The Kratochwills, who operate out of a truck at the Cardinal Drive approach, offer a variety of beach equipment, including uniquely colored pink and orange loungers and umbrellas. This color choice not only differentiates their business but also pays tribute to their daughter, Avie. Embracing innovation and community engagement, they are expanding to include amenities for the beach's new dog-friendly areas. This development represents a significant step forward for the local business, enhancing the beach experience for all visitors. Fiind them at ormondrentals.com

Innovative Tablecloth Holder by Ormond Beach Friends Makes Outdoor Dining a Breeze

Tableteeth Website

Karen Thorburn and Amy Kolis, from Ormond Beach, turned a windy day problem at a barbecue into an innovative solution called Table Teeth. This product, designed to secure tablecloths during outdoor events, was born out of necessity and refined through friendship and collaboration. After realizing no existing products met their needs, they developed a waterproof silicone holder that clips to the table. The product, now selling on Amazon, is a testament to their creativity and has been well-received at local shows. Thorburn and Kolis, friends since the 1990s, have embarked on this entrepreneurial journey together, proving that with ingenuity and partnership, new ideas can indeed come to life.

Along S. Nova Rd., David Martin, a seasoned entrepreneur with a rich history of businesses and adventures, including piloting his own plane around the globe, decided to settle down and open Steer In Burger. At 73, David embarked on transforming a space with bright orange and red walls and a black ceiling into the welcoming burger shop it is today. After months of DIY renovation from a Mexican restaurant, Steer In Burger opened its doors in April, 2023, offering a menu centered around freshness and quality, a realization David had after struggling to find good, fresh food in the area.

Delicious Burgers

Steer In Burger stands out not just for its freshly ground meat burgers and hand-cut fries, but also for its Philly cheesesteaks, vegetarian options, desserts, and a variety of drinks including beer, milkshakes, and root beer floats. It’s dine in only and they do it to give families an opportunity to go out to eat.
