Coach Klein’s Debut Marks New Era for Seabreeze Football Despite Loss

The Seabreeze Sandcrabs, under new coach Mike Klein, faced a tough 41-7 defeat against Fleming Island in their spring game. Despite the short preparation period following Klein’s recent appointment, the team displayed significant determination. Klein emphasized the foundational nature of the game in building the team's future strategies. Highlights included a 41-yard touchdown by Seabreeze and a blocked kick by Brody Boda. Moving forward, Klein plans to focus on defense and physical training to prepare the team for future challenges.

New Filings Suggest Drop in Florida Home Insurance Rates Ahead of Hurricane Season

For the first time in years, homeowners in Florida might see stable or reduced insurance rates this summer, according to the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation. This shift, highlighted by rate filings for 2024 showing no increases or actual decreases by several insurers, comes despite predictions of a severe hurricane season. Factors contributing to this trend include a mild hurricane season last year and new insurers entering the market, improving competition. Despite this potential relief, Florida's insurance rates remain among the highest in the nation.
