Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB) has been honored as Florida’s 2024 Commercial Service Airport of the Year by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). The award, announced at the FDOT Annual Aviation Awards ceremony, highlights DAB’s outstanding achievements in aviation safety, operational improvements, and innovative management. This accolade, marking DAB’s second win in three years, is attributed to the airport’s exceptional safety measures, customer service enhancements, and active community involvement. Key accomplishments include partnerships with local law enforcement, support for STEM education through local schools, and contributions to public art initiatives. Airport Director Karen Feaster noted that the award reflects the dedication of the entire team to providing excellent travel experiences and community support.
