Volusia Schools and Educators Union Finalize $7.7 Million Salary Agreement

Volusia County Schools and Volusia United Educators Instructional have finalized a contract agreement featuring a $7.7 million salary package. The agreement, which enhances support for the district’s instructional staff, includes increases in health insurance contributions, base salaries, and various supplements. Specifically, the district’s health insurance contribution will rise from $565 to $605 per month, and base salaries for 196-day employees will increase by $531 to $1,460. The contract also provides a 3% raise in activity and advanced degree supplements, along with salary stipends. The tentative agreement is scheduled for ratification the week of September 16, with the Volusia County School Board set to approve it on September 24.
