Daytona Boat Show Returns with Hundreds of Vessels and Exclusive Offers

Marine Industry Association

The Marine Industry Association of Central Florida will host the Daytona Boat Show from Jan. 10-12 at the Daytona International Speedway. Featuring 16 top dealers and over 70 manufacturers, the show offers attendees a chance to explore approximately 300 boats, including bowriders, center consoles, deck boats, and fishing vessels.

Exclusive offers, such as extended warranties, service packages, and waived dockage, will be available from participating dealers and manufacturers throughout the event.

Admission is $5 per carload, inclusive of parking, sales tax, and all passengers. Tickets can be purchased online or at the event using a credit card. Active military and veterans are eligible for complimentary entry with proper ID.

The show will operate from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, providing a weekend of opportunities to explore the latest in recreational boating.

Volusia County Council Finalizes 2025 Meeting Schedule

The Volusia County Council has approved its 2025 meeting calendar, with sessions scheduled at the Thomas C. Kelly Administration Center in DeLand. Meetings will alternate between morning and afternoon times, beginning on Jan. 21 and concluding on Dec. 2.

Residents are invited to participate in person or by submitting comments to [email protected] at least 24 hours before each meeting. Submissions should include the sender’s name, city of residence, and the agenda item being addressed. All comments will be shared with the council and added to the public record.

Meeting agendas will be made available online at volusia.org/agenda, and all sessions will be livestreamed at volusia.org/livemeeting. This schedule reflects the council’s commitment to fostering community engagement and ensuring accessibility for all residents.

Lee Greenwood Brings “American Spirit Tour” to Flagler County

Lee Greenwood will perform at the Flagler Auditorium in Palm Coast on Jan. 23 as part of his nationwide "American Spirit Tour." Known for his enduring patriotic anthem "God Bless the USA," Greenwood’s performance celebrates themes of national pride and unity.

The concert, beginning at 7 p.m., marks the second stop on Greenwood’s tour, which includes four initial dates in Florida. Tickets are available through the auditorium’s website, with prices starting at $64.

"God Bless the USA," released in 1984, brought Greenwood widespread acclaim, peaking at No. 16 on the Billboard Hot 100 and achieving renewed popularity during political campaigns and moments of national significance. In addition to his patriotic work, Greenwood has a repertoire of chart-topping country hits, including "Somebody's Gonna Love You" and "Dixie Road."

This rare local appearance offers Flagler County residents an opportunity to experience Greenwood’s celebrated career live on stage.
