🚀 Falcon 9's 19th Ride Brings More Internet to the World
Over the weekend, night owls and space fans were treated to another successful Falcon 9 launch from Cape Canaveral. SpaceX added 28 more Starlink satellites to its growing constellation in low-Earth orbit, bringing global internet coverage to even more corners of the planet—especially rural and disaster-affected areas.
What’s just as impressive? The Falcon 9’s first-stage booster landed gracefully on the Just Read the Instructions droneship in the Atlantic, marking its 19th flight. This mission reinforces how routine, and yet remarkable, SpaceX launches have become.
With each launch, Starlink continues expanding its footprint, now covering users in over 125 countries. It's one more step toward making high-speed internet a globally accessible utility—even if you're surrounded by cows or coconuts.

🦠 Deadly Fungus on the Rise in U.S. Health Facilities
Meanwhile, on solid ground, health experts are sounding the alarm over Candida auris, a potentially deadly fungus spreading in hospitals and senior care facilities. The drug-resistant yeast has seen a sharp rise in U.S. cases—up 64% from 2022 to 2023, according to the CDC. First detected in the U.S. in 2016, C. auris now infects thousands annually.
While healthy individuals generally aren’t at risk, those with serious medical conditions or invasive devices—like catheters or feeding tubes—can face life-threatening complications. The fungus spreads easily and can linger on surfaces or skin, even without causing symptoms.
The troubling part? Some strains are resistant to all major antifungal drugs, making treatment options extremely limited. Hospitals are urged to remain vigilant, as outbreaks can escalate quickly in vulnerable settings.

🍫 Tony’s Chocolonely Recalls Almond Bars Over Stone Fragments
And in a twist no chocoholic wants to hear, Tony’s Chocolonely has recalled several lots of two popular bars—Dark Almond Sea Salt and Everything Bar—due to reports of small stones making it into the mix. Yes, actual stones.
The issue reportedly stems from unfiltered debris during third-party almond harvesting. While no injuries have been reported and the complaints came from outside the U.S. and Canada, the company is taking no chances.
If you've bought one of the affected bars between February 7 and March 24, check the lot codes listed on Tony’s website. If yours matches, return it to the store or dispose of it. A refund or replacement is available, so you won’t be left stone-faced.
Turns out, even ethically sourced chocolate isn’t immune to a bump in the road. See full story for details and source codes.
