The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the incident, closing both lanes of Highbridge Road temporarily.
Volusia County On The Fast Track To Establishing Premier Motocross Destination
Volusia County is considering the development of a $10.2 million motocross facility, led by Councilman Don Dempsey. Aimed at enhancing the county's recreational appeal, the proposed site near I4 and I95 could feature competitive tracks, RV spaces, and various amenities. A feasibility study suggests the facility could host numerous events and practice days annually, attracting significant attendance. The project, which is still under council consideration, could be managed by the county or through a public-private partnership, with profitability expected within five years. This venture is seen as a potential economic boon, contributing to local hospitality and retail sectors.

Poll Results on Congressional Spending
A Couple: of Comments
“If private citizens ran our bank accounts the way the federal government does, we would be in prison. If there is no money, we need to shut down and regroup on how to proceed into the future with integrity. ”
“It is not the government’s money it is our money. Our representatives need to be held accountable for the government’s over spending.”
