Ormond Beach Students Get Hands-On with Engineering through Rotomation Partnership

The Modern Minds Learning STEM program in Ormond Beach has partnered with Rotomation Inc. to enhance students’ engineering and automation skills. Located in the Ormond Beach Airport Business Park, Rotomation led interactive workshops on pneumatic rotary actuators and automation technologies. Students engaged in activities covering product assembly, machinery operations, and business management, gaining insight into potential STEM careers and internships. Rotomation aims to inspire the next generation of engineers through this collaboration.

Daytona Speedway Unveils Tribute to Longest-Serving Employee Juanita “Lightnin’” Epton

This weekend at Daytona International Speedway, NASCAR paid tribute to Juanita “Lightnin’” Epton, the longest-serving employee who passed away in May at 103. A tribute display, featuring her career highlights, was unveiled at the Speedway's Ticketing and Tours Building. Epton’s dedication was honored by Speedway President Frank Kelleher and her granddaughter, Casey Epton Roush. The tribute, which marks the beginning of race weekend events, celebrates Epton's 60-year legacy with the Speedway, including her pivotal role since the first Daytona 500 in 1959.
