🛒 Favorites at Trader Joe’s Daytona Beach

Popular Trader Joe’s products like the Chili & Lime Flavored Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips and Butter Chicken with Basmati Rice topped customer favorite lists this year. Beauty products like the Brazil Nut Body Butter are cult favorites, while “Hall of Fame” items like Mandarin Orange Chicken and Unexpected Cheddar continue to delight fans.

No one is more thrilled than Ormond Beach local Jasmin Bedria, a Trader Joe’s superfan who launched a petition back in 2012 to bring the store to the area. Her favorite finds? Mango Mochi, Jalapeño Lime Almond Dip, and Plantain Croutons, to name a few.

Whether you’re new to Trader Joe’s or a seasoned fan, this opening is sure to make grocery runs a lot more exciting.

🌪️ As Hurricane Melissa Nears Jamaica Florida Steps Up

As Hurricane Melissa churns toward Jamaica with potentially catastrophic effects, Central Florida businesses and organizations are mobilizing to provide aid. The now-official hurricane is expected to make landfall early Tuesday, bringing powerful winds, massive flooding, and power outages.

Mark Jathan, owner of Mark’s Jamaican Bar and Grill, is spearheading local relief efforts—collecting food, first-aid kits, and other essentials to ship to the island. He's not alone. The Jamaican American Association of Central Florida is also preparing to help, just as they did during last year’s Hurricane Jeryl.

Shipping and logistics are costly, but the sense of urgency is clear. “Every donation helps,” said Tara Carroll, a restaurant owner currently on the island. With many businesses closed and infrastructure at risk, community support can make a real difference.

If you’d like to pitch in, donations can be made through the Jamaican American Association of Central Florida, The island may be bracing for impact, but help is already on the way.
