🍕Your Pie Fires Up in Ormond Beach

If your pizza cravings are ready for a fresh spin, there's a new pie in town. Your Pie, a fast-casual pizza chain, has officially opened in Ormond Beach at 1474 W. Granada Blvd., in the Ormond Towne Square. Owned locally by Manisha Patel and business partner Bimal Patel (who also runs a location in Melbourne), the eatery offers customizable pizzas, oven-fired wings, sandwiches, pasta, and even gelato—plus beer and wine for grown-up pairings.

Founded in Athens, Georgia, in 2008, Your Pie is inspired by the brick-oven pizza traditions of Italy's Isle of Ischia. With 60 locations nationwide, it’s earned a reputation for serving up fast, flavorful, and fresh creations that cater to every taste.

Open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., the new location aims to be a hub for families and friends looking to share a meal and some laughs—without the wait of a traditional sit-down restaurant.

🦃 Where to Score a Free Turkey This Thanksgiving

As grocery prices climb and many Central Floridians continue to recover from economic strain, several local organizations are stepping up to make sure Thanksgiving tables are full this year. From church drive-thrus to retail rewards programs, here are a few ways families can receive a free turkey and sides:

  • Sedano’s and Magic 107.7 are teaming up to give away 150 turkeys via a contest. Winners will need to pick up their prize on Saturday, Nov. 22.

  • BJ’s Wholesale Club members who spent $150 or more between Nov. 1–10 can redeem a free turkey coupon between Nov. 15–26.

  • Trinity Church in Deltona will host a drive-thru giveaway on Saturday, Nov. 22, starting at 8 a.m.

  • Iglesia CDR Internacional in Orange City will distribute turkeys on Sunday, Nov. 23, starting at 1 p.m., while supplies last.

In most cases, early arrival or advance registration is recommended due to high demand.

🛒 Trader Joe’s Opens Its Doors in Daytona Beach Today

After over a decade of anticipation—and a local petition dating back 13 years—Trader Joe’s has finally arrived in Daytona Beach. The specialty grocer will officially open today, November 14 at 9:00am. Located at 1507 Cornerstone Blvd. in the Tomoka Town Center, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, free product samples, and reusable bag giveaways for the first 100 customers.

Fans can now stock up on cult favorites like Mandarin Orange Chicken, Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups, and Unexpected Cheddar. The store will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., making it easy to pop in for everything from pantry staples to fresh flowers.

In addition to stocking shelves, Trader Joe’s plans to give back locally by donating 100% of its unsold-yet-edible products to area nonprofits through its Neighborhood Shares Program. It's a long-awaited and warmly welcomed addition to the Daytona Beach shopping scene.
