🎄Jingles, Jammies, and Joy at the Ormond Beach PAC

Halifax Repertory Theatre is back with its cozy holiday tradition, and pajamas are highly encouraged. The second annual “Jingles & Jammies” Holiday Show lands at the Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center on December 19 and 20 at 7 p.m., with a matinee performance on December 21 at 2 p.m.

The festive show gathers a cheerful mix of performers from Halifax Repertory’s 2025 productions and vocal students who’ve trained with the nonprofit all year. What makes it unique? Everyone’s performing in their favorite holiday-themed pajamas. The result is a heartwarming evening of holiday tunes, community spirit, and a dash of silliness.

Santa will be there for photos, and the audience is encouraged to show up in their own holiday sleepwear or attire. Tickets are $35 and are available through the Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center.

🚀 Look Up: SpaceX Launch Set for December 15

After the jammies and jingles, it’s time to shift your gaze skyward. On Monday, December 15, SpaceX is scheduled to launch 29 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit. The Falcon 9 rocket is set to lift off from Kennedy Space Center’s launch pad 39A during a window from 8:11 a.m. to 12:11 p.m. ET.

Though the launch happens in Brevard County, folks in Volusia County have a solid chance of catching the rocket trail — especially if the weather cooperates. Head to the beach, face south, and you might glimpse the fiery ascent. Great local spots include Halifax Harbor Marina in Daytona Beach and Ormond-by-the-Sea.

There won’t be any sonic booms this time, but live coverage will begin 90 minutes before launch at floridatoday.com/space, for those who prefer a front-row seat from home.
