🌊 Family Urges Beach Safety After Teen's Tragic Drowning
A Central Florida family is grieving the loss of 17-year-old Amareon Anthony, who died after being caught in a rip current off Daytona Beach. According to Volusia County Beach Safety, lifeguards rescued the teen's friend Friday evening while an extensive overnight search continued with rescue vessels, jet skis, sonar equipment and dozens of lifeguards. Anthony was found Saturday morning after a bystander spotted him floating offshore and called 911. As loved ones prepare to honor his memory, they hope others will recognize the dangers of rip currents and always exercise caution before entering the ocean.
