🎨 Family Creativity Takes Center Stage at OMAM
The Ormond Memorial Art Museum & Gardens is shining a spotlight on the McBroom family as its featured participants from August's Free Family Art Night. Dennis, Nhi and their son Ethan attended the museum's pet portrait class as part of a special birthday celebration for Nhi before Ethan heads off to the University of Florida. Inspired by family memories and guided by instructor Linda King, the trio created portraits of their dog Trevor and his friend Tank, continuing a tradition of making art together that began with Ethan's late grandmother, Carol. OMAM's popular Family Art Night is held on most first Fridays from 5:30 to 7 p.m., with all supplies provided and participants of every age welcome.

🚧 Seabreeze Beach Ramp Closes for Safety Repairs
The Seabreeze Boulevard beach approach in Daytona Beach has been temporarily closed to both pedestrians and vehicles after officials identified structural concerns at the neighboring Plaza Resort. According to city and county officials, repairs are needed to the building's tunnel area, which extends over the beach access ramp. A new contractor has been selected, and city leaders say they will expedite the permitting process so work can begin as quickly as possible. Until repairs are completed and the structure is deemed safe, visitors are encouraged to use the Zelda Boulevard or International Speedway Boulevard beach access ramps. Local business owners hope the closure will be brief to minimize impacts during the busy beach season.
