🎆 Ormond Beach Ready to Celebrate America's 250th Birthday
With Independence Day just around the corner, Ormond Beach is preparing for one of its favorite annual traditions. The city's Fourth of July celebration kicks off at 8 p.m. Saturday at Rockefeller Gardens, featuring live music, food trucks, a kids' zone, and a fireworks spectacular beginning at 9 p.m. Residents are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and arrive early, as free public parking and a complimentary shuttle service will be available from City Hall beginning at 7:30 p.m. Several nearby roads and parks will close before the fireworks to accommodate the festivities. As the nation commemorates America's 250th anniversary, city officials expect another large community turnout for the family-friendly celebration.

🎓 Ormond Beach Schools Lead the Way as Volusia Retains 'A' District Status
Volusia County Schools is celebrating its second consecutive "A" district designation from the Florida Department of Education, and Ormond Beach schools played a major role in that achievement. Eight of the nine schools serving Ormond Beach students earned an "A" rating, with Pathways Elementary and Hinson Middle School both improving from a "B" last year. District leaders say the continued success reflects years of collaboration between teachers, administrators, families, and community partners. Pathways posted impressive gains in math and student achievement, while Hinson finally reached the coveted "A" after narrowly missing the mark in recent years. Overall, 90% of Volusia County schools are now rated "A" or "B," marking a remarkable turnaround from just four years ago.

🐾 Keep Pets Safe During Holiday Fireworks
As families prepare to enjoy fireworks displays, Volusia County Animal Services is reminding pet owners that the Fourth of July is one of the busiest times of year for lost animals. Loud noises can frighten even well-behaved pets, causing them to run away if given the opportunity. Officials recommend keeping pets indoors during fireworks, ensuring collars and ID tags are secure, confirming that microchip information is up to date, and creating a quiet, comfortable place where animals can feel safe. Owners are also encouraged to keep pets leashed when outside and to consult a veterinarian in advance if their pet has experienced severe anxiety during past celebrations. Taking a few simple precautions now can help prevent a stressful search later.

Wholesale to Retail -Fragrances 4 Less

There’s something fun about walking into a fragrance shop. It is part shopping trip, part treasure hunt, and part personality test. One spray says “date night.” Another says “fresh out of the shower.” Another says “I am definitely more interesting than my grocery list suggests.”
At Fragrances 4 Less, located at 100 E. Granada Blvd. in Ormond Beach, owner Matt Kynard has built a local shop around that exact experience.

Matt Kynard, Owner - Amanda, Store Associate
Matt did not start out in the fragrance business. He spent 15 years in the auto industry before burnout pushed him to look for something different. He had always been interested in fragrances, so he found a supplier and began selling from his home office on Amazon.
Then COVID changed the plan.
Matt moved the operation into an office at 100 E. Granada. The business grew quickly so he decided to build out the full retail storefront right on Granada Blvd at the same address.

Today, Fragrances 4 Less offers hundreds of perfume and cologne options, including well-known designer brands and quality off-brand alternatives, often priced 30% to 40% below retail. And according to Matt, many customers are surprised by what happens when they compare scents side by side.
Often, when buyers are given a choice, they cannot tell the difference between the designer name brand and the more affordable alternative.
One of the hottest lines in the store right now, Matt says, is Michael Malul London, a Designer Brand whose scents have been getting great reactions from customers. In some cases, shoppers even prefer them over the big designer labels.

The store serves both men and women about evenly. Men often come in shopping for themselves and for a wife or girlfriend, while women are more likely to be choosing something for themselves.
You can browse some of the available lines at www.Wholesale2Retail.org, but Matt says the best way to find the right fragrance is to stop in, sample the offerings, and let your nose make the decision.
Wholsale to Retail Fragrances 4 Less is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, call (386) 238-9091. Be sure to mention Ormond Local Pulse when you call or stop in for a SPECIAL DEAL!
