Your K-Cup Has Been Sitting in a Warehouse for Months

That grocery store pod? It was roasted long before it hit the shelf. Coffee starts losing flavor within weeks of roasting — which is why your morning cup tastes flat, no matter how nice your machine is.

Angelino's does it differently. A third-generation roaster in Los Angeles, they roast, grind, and seal every pod in-house for peak freshness, then ship it to your door within days of roasting. The difference is the first thing you'll notice: real aroma, real flavor, no bitterness.

Mix and match from 50+ specialty coffees, teas, and flavored blends — all Keurig®-compatible — and save more with every box you add, up to 34% off at 12+. Order once whenever you're running low, or subscribe for an extra 5% if that's easier. Entirely up to you.

New customers get 15% off their first order — applied automatically, no code needed.

🇺🇸 Trump Plans Daytona Beach Rally Friday

President Donald Trump is scheduled to speak at a Republican midterm rally in Daytona Beach on Friday, Oct. 30, ahead of the Nov. 3 election.

Doors are expected to open at 3:30 p.m., with remarks scheduled for 7 p.m. The rally location had not been announced when the Observer published its report.

Local Republican leaders welcomed the visit, while Volusia Democrats said they remain focused on encouraging voters to cast their ballots.

🌊 King Tides Reshape Volusia Beaches

King tides and powerful waves have stripped sand from parts of Volusia County’s coastline, leaving steep drop-offs and exposing seawalls in some areas.

The changes are especially visible in New Smyrna Beach, where the county recently completed a major sand placement project. Some residents are concerned about the investment, while county officials say displaced sand may have shifted offshore, where it can still absorb wave energy.

The county expects to assess the damage after the tidal event ends.

🎖️ Corrections Captain Earns Veteran Honor

Volusia County has named Corrections Capt. Miguel Aviles its first Veteran Employee of the Year.

Aviles served 22 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and has spent 17 years with the county’s Division of Corrections. He was recognized for mentoring staff, volunteering his time and helping community members in need.

The County Council presented the award on Oct. 20 and proclaimed the date “Miguel Aviles Day.”

🎃 Keep Halloween Spooky and Safe

As Halloween approaches, Volusia County Fire Rescue recommends using battery-operated candles or LED lights in jack-o’-lanterns.

Keep decorations away from heat sources, check lights and extension cords for damage, and avoid overloading outlets. Families should also keep exits clear, test smoke alarms and help children in flowing costumes stay away from open flames.
