A 12-year-old Ormond Beach boy died and four other passengers were seriously injured in an Oct. 31 head-on crash on State Road 40 near Still Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said a westbound Tesla veered right before its driver overcorrected left into an oncoming pickup. The boy died at a hospital. An Ormond Beach woman, 64, two West Melbourne girls, ages 4 and 6, and an Ormond Beach boy, 10, were hospitalized in stable condition.

🏆 Daytona’s Ethan Walker Tops Florida Cornhole Rankings
In local sports news, Daytona Beach’s Ethan Walker has turned a backyard pastime into a full-time career. The 22-year-old ranks No. 1 in Florida, finished the past year fifth in the American Cornhole League and recently won the World Singles Championship at the Kansas City Major.
Walker began playing in high school before attending Iowa’s Hawkeye Community College to play golf. He eventually left college to pursue professional cornhole. His parents were initially skeptical but supported the decision and have become enthusiastic fans.
