🕯️ Roger Bradley Dies Following Attack
Roger Bradley, 79, has died from injuries suffered in a Sept. 20 attack outside Daytona College, according to WFTV. His wife, Nancy Bradley, was also seriously injured and remains in critical condition.
Police say the couple discovered 40-year-old contractor Michael Hightower stealing from the business before he allegedly ran them over and beat them. Authorities also identified Hightower as the man who shot an Ormond Beach police officer at AdventHealth.
WFTV reported Wednesday that Roger had succumbed to his injuries. The update marks a tragic outcome in a case that left the couple critically wounded, with Nancy continuing to fight for her life.

🪪 Florida Licenses Get a New Look
In statewide news, Florida’s driver’s licenses are getting a makeover—but there’s no need to rush out and replace yours. Distribution of the updated cards began Sept. 30, and existing valid licenses remain good until their expiration dates.
The new design highlights Florida’s heritage, featuring St. Augustine’s Castillo de San Marcos, an alligator incorporated into the REAL ID seal, and a manatee. An orange replaces the “O” in Florida, while a space shuttle launch appears on the back.
The redesign also includes a state seal used as a security marker. For most drivers, the change will arrive naturally with their next renewal: a familiar everyday essential with a distinctly Florida facelift.

🎂 Two Residents Celebrate 101 Years
That same spirit of connection was on display at Paradise Pointe Assisted Living and Memory Care, where Mary Wilson and Annette Share were honored on National Centenarians Day, Sept. 22. Both women are 101.
Families, residents and staff joined Mayor Jason Leslie and Mayor-elect Lori Tolland, who presented awards and flowers.
Mary, born in Minnesota, raised 10 children and still enjoys daily walks and Florida sunshine. Her approach to longevity is to stay busy, keep moving and participate.
Annette, born in England, served in the British Army and now has descendants spanning four generations. She enjoys mysteries and treasures family above all.
Their lives offer a reminder that friendships, family and everyday pleasures remain worth celebrating at every age.
